Grandma Hippenhammer's Sugar Cookies 3 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. lard or shortening 3/4 c. butter 3 eggs 1 1/2 c. sour cream 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3 tsp. baking powder vanilla Flour 6-7 c. (enough to roll out) Cream sugar, lard and butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix soda with sour cream; add along with baking powder and flour. Roll out and cut. Bake at 375 for 8 - 10 minutes. Bottom will be slightly brown. |
